Children’s Parties
Escape rooms make fantastic birthday parties.
Many of our younger teams take on the challenge independently under the supervision of our DBS-checked hosts, giving parents the chance to relax while the children work together to solve puzzles, uncover clues and race against the clock. The game encourages communication, teamwork and creative thinking — a fun and engaging alternative to more traditional party venues. Adults are, of course, welcome to play with the group too if that’s your preferred option.
You can also make use of our reception area before or after their game for birthday cake, drinks, cards and gift exchanges if required.
Schools, Colleges & Youth Groups
Valley Escape is popular with educational and community groups of all ages.
We’ve hosted everyone from primary school pupils and Sixth Form students to football teams, Scout groups and youth clubs. Our puzzles connect naturally with the school curriculum – covering literacy, numeracy, critical thinking and teamwork – making a visit both fun and educational.
One of our favourite visits came from all 60 Year 6 pupils at Brynhyfryd Primary School. The children spent the day at Valley Escape in rotating groups, combining the escape room with a carousel of activities, using the large space available at Cwmtwrch Welfare Hall. Inspired by their visit, they went on to design and run their own escape room at school for Children in Need.
We’ve also welcomed Sixth Form groups from Ysgol Gymraeg Ystalyfera, and comprehensive school teams from Hendrefelin, Cefn Saeson and more. Our escape room is engaging for students of all ages and abilities.

Over the years we’ve welcomed teams from local organisations including healthcare, retail, hospitality, social care and property businesses. Colleagues from Swansea, Brecon and Ystradgynlais businesses have had a great time putting their skills to the test at Valley Escape.
Whether you’re rewarding staff, strengthening team relationships or simply looking for a fun social activity, our escape room provides a shared challenge that gets everyone working together – and reveals more than a few surprises about who the real problem-solvers are.
Hen Parties & Special Celebrations
Looking for something more memorable than another meal out?
Valley Escape has hosted hen parties, family celebrations and groups of friends looking for a unique shared experience. Larger groups can get competitive by splitting into teams and taking turns in the room, making use of our reception area in between – perfect for a drink, some food and plenty of laughter while you wait for your rivals to escape.
Working together to uncover secrets, crack codes and beat the clock creates memorable moments and plenty of stories to tell afterwards.
As Seen on TV
Valley Escape featured on S4C’s Priodas Pum Mil – the popular series in which couples plan their wedding on a budget of £5,000.
As the prenuptial partnership were escape room enthusiasts, the production team chose Valley Escape as part of the featured couple’s story. The couple completed games here, with the final reveal being their wedding rings concealed in a locked box. They also filmed their introductory interview with the programme presenters inside the room. We were delighted to be part of their experience and wish them a long and happy life together filled with lots more escape rooms!
Mobile Games — We Come to You
Can’t make it to Cwmtwrch? We can come to you.
Valley Escape has created mobile escape room experiences that can be set up and run at your venue. Our mobile games have already been enjoyed at Year 6 leavers’ parties at Cribarth and Creunant Primary Schools, and we run free games throughout the summer holidays at Ystradgynlais Library – bringing the escape room experience to players who might not otherwise have had the chance to take part.
